Anyone who thinks a protein shake or smoothie has to be difficult to make or taste like death needs to get a big ole glass of my Piña Colada Protein Shake!
Now I wasn’t ever even a big fan of this adult beverage when I was a big drinker mostly because I didn’t want to get hazed for my dainty white drink. If I would have known how tasty they were though I might have moved to the beach and named my daughter Piña.
This version is free odd the devil’s nectar and chock full of body fortifying vitamins and minerals. Here is what you need:
1 cup pineapple
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I use sun warrior)
I single serving of coconut water (I love vita coco)
That’s it! Couldn’t be more simple. Throw it all in the blender and this is what you get.
This version is extremely low calorie and nutrient dense. You can also mix it up by throwing in other fruit such as bananas or berries, and don’t ever be afraid to toss in some fresh spinach. It’s a move you won’t soon regret!
